Am/Intl Ch Sleeping Lady's Blade Runner "Steele" Judy's farewell to Steele: My dear sweet Steele Ch Sleeping Lady's Bladerunner passed away at just under 15 years old. He went to sleep in my arms giving me a last kiss. He passed with dignity loved dearly by all who knew him. Sleep well my dear friend I love you. Ms McConnell, You do not know me but my husband, Stephen and I have a Bouvier who has been a true joy to us for over 10 years. Her name is DeLux's Bearded Iris at Runamok. Her Sire is your beloved Steele. Steele is also my maiden name. She is the second Bouvier that we have acquired through Sharrie Lux down here in Southern California but she has been the most special of the many different dogs that we have had in our 46 years of marriage. She is just a simple family dog. No fancy titles but she is a special delight to us. She has been one of the easiest of our dogs to train along with being fun and lovable. My husband jokes that she is the first dog that he bought me that he took back. That is because it soon became obvious that she was going to be Daddy's "Practically Perfect Princess" ( his definition) and I did not mind at all because it has been so much fun to watch the two of them together. Once I knew who Iris's sire was I often visited your website and I when realized that Steele was very special to you, I wanted you to know that your special Steele has past on a wonderful personality on to others. I hope this information may help you in your loss. Sincerely, Kathleen Steele Smith Steele wins Best of Breed - Cook Inlet Kennel Club August 1, 2003 - Palmer, Alaska!! ![]() Best of Breed - November 2003 Cook Inlet Kennel Club
